I would consider a kitchen nook against the right front corner/entryway to make some room for shoes, keys, etc.

Something like:

But instead of using the built-in cabinets for plates and cups, you can use it for shoes, keys, etc.

Another option could be to remove two chairs and nestle the dining table against the wall.

Or... moving the dining table up closer to the kitchen near the right wall window (where the step ladder is in the first picture). If you wanted to, you could add big chairs and create a living room/entryway where the nook would've been.
