You may try a modern console sink rather than a vanity like these. Otherwise, floating vanities provide a great modern look & still give cabinet space for storage.

Ah, that is quite small. I'm not sure of any console sinks that will be under 14" in depth. In that case, I would recommend getting a wall mount / vessel sink and having a custom shelf installed across the length of your wall like in these photos:

If you get a sink with a hole drilled in for a faucet, this faucet is modern and good for a small space. Otherwise, a modern wall-mount will work well.
