No reason why you can't. Make sure you got proper drainage and I believe the plants will do okay but not as well as in proper soil.

Karen here grew many years in water so this will be better but again not as good as proper soil which it gets it's nutrients from.

Karen, You have many years experience with Sans. I don't know this person or just what they want to do. Pictures would be nice as well from them.

The air in my home is pretty bad, feels confined. So I want to expand and grow as fast as possible more sansiveria Laurentii leaves to get more Oxygen production and elimination of toxins.

Hate to tell you but could do way much better with special filters and air movers on your present furnace. Sans or any plants even in a green house adds maybe only 2% increase but does do well for removal of toxic gasses. Even absorbs Radon Gas.

I do love the snake plant effect in a long window box being used as a room separator. Especially if you have enough light in the room.

Your plants will grow faster in good potting soil over clay beads. Miracle grow Cactus & Succulent mix with 25% perlite should give you good results but even in fastest growth, it will take years. Best to find them already growing large in big box stores. Just saw one at Home Depot today for about $15 for a pot almost as large as yours.

To purify air in the house, you would need several thousand plants at least. Calculations were made on the rate of gaseous exchange, appropriate scientific paper is available in the net somewhere. All this advertising talk about "air-purifying plant for you home!" is just sales rubbish.

I read it as a NASA report. Google it under NASA clean air plants. Lots of stuff comes up.
