Griege undertone problems

last modified: 6 years ago

Hello! I have been trying to find the perfect light greige and every one I've tried has a pink, lavender or blue undertone. I'm trying to paint an open concept townhome, with a 20 foot wall of windows as the only source of natural light. These windows face SE and the paint looks different on each wall. I've been trying SW and Valspar colors. I've tried repose gray, useful grey and sedate gray in SW. Even Passive which shows up bluish and Agreeable gray which shows up pinkish or lavender. For Valsar, I love Asiago but I blink and it looks pinkish. On the wall directly across the room, it's greige. I love Madison White but it is bluish which is odd because it's on a color strip with green undertones. There are so many others I've tried. I don't want to go too dark because the size of the room is smaller with tall walls. Am I fighting a losing battle with light greige? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
