Hi all- my husband and I bought an upholstered platform bed (frame) (which included headboard) off Wayfair a few months ago. The bed's alleged weight capacity was 800 lbs. This bed was not cheap and in the middle of the night, the slats literally gave out underneath one side and our bed was basically broken at that point. We hadn't had the bed longer than 3 months and this was not a cheap purchase by any means... the two of us weigh no more than 400lbs (if that) and our mattress <100 lbs, which would mean we are still 300 lbs under bed's weight capacity. In any case, after a very frustrating ordeal, we are looking for suggestions on sturdy bed frames with headboard options that still appeal to our chic/modern living space. HELP!!!
