To answer your question, yes - you can put a pink bed in a pink room. But, Its really hard to say without seeing the paint and the bed together, as pinks can run peachy, blueish, purpleish, etc..; plus, the strength of the pigment will make a difference. If the pinks are slightly off, you can always use an area rug and artwork to pull the colors together.

My vote is yes, absolutely. My daughter‘s childhood room was the same — pale blush walls with a darker pink headboard and white dresser. Very pretty. I think your husband is probably thinking of it in a vacuum, without other furniture, decor, and colors in there, too. Plus, that paint color, as you said, is extremely pale.

Bed is lovely and paint can easily be adjusted if it clashes or is too much for room. You could do a half wall to break up the pink or wall paper behind bed for example.

You can easily remove wallpaper on your own. Just need patience if it comes off in smaller pieces. Search iTube for tutorial. If you are wanting to add paper on your own, peel and stick would be easier. I’ve wallpapered on my own and it was no fun, especially when I did a staircase! If you have never done before, you may want to ask for help from someone who has.

IMO a daybed is not a good choice for an actual bed. I am tall and hate foot boards for that reason. As for the pink IMO never do a color for a permanent piece in a kids bedroom since the favorite color changes yearly . get a nice neutral headboard on a regular bed get a trundle if you need the extra sleeping space and then get pink bedding that can be changed next year . Why not get a forever bed and save the money for the changes that are coming.
