Orchid Leaf Issues

Hi all,

I need some input on what may be causing my orchid leaves to yellow. Please see pics. It has been in this same spot for 2 years and on the same exact watering and fertilizer regimen. I really don't think I am over-watering. It has been in the exact same spot by the window with the same indoor temperatures this whole time. I rotate the plant regularly and it does NOT get any direct sunlight. I don't see any pests.

It was fine until about 2 weeks ago when all the leaves except 1 bottom one were green and now it has all these yellow and spotted leaves. I looked everywhere online and I'm still not sure what this may be from. It has a recent very nice bloom (4th bloom in 2 years, all from same spike). Any input is appreciated.

Your growing conditions sound good, perhaps the potting material needs replacing?

Hm I haven’t repotted it or changed the material in 2 years. Would that lead to the leaves yellowing so abruptly? Is it OK to repot now that it looks so stressed?

The bottom leaves are old leaves and the plant is naturally shedding them. That is normal.

The top leaf looks like sun scorch or some sort of chemical burning. Just watch it and when it yellows all the way down you can carefully cut it off. If it doesn't yellow all the way down, just cut off the burnt part. It looks like you will lose that leaf.

I agree, you should repot the plant. New media and it will allow you to check the roots.

Again, it appears something damaged that top leaf and you will probably lose it. I also think something might be going on with the roots. Change the media and water well.
