millworkman is probably correct, depending on how deep the etch is. You sucked the color out of the resin. I'm not optimistic. I might take a shot at it if you lived next door, I liked you, and you texted me that you acknowledge the top is ruined and that I can only make it better. Other than that, I'd probably pass at a repair attempt. Too much risk, too little reward.

No, maybe a brown Sharpie. This is not a DIY project. You can buy a Quartz Renew kit from Regent Stone Products, but that takes lots of time to perfect. Plus you're going to need a variable speed grinder with a diamond pad protocol to be able to begin the Quartz Renew process. If you think that looks bad, wait until you see what an amateur can do with a 60 grit pad. You'll have a soap dish ground into your top quickly.

There are restoration professionals who may be able to fix this, however, it's always a matter of cost effectiveness. This damage on an "L" shaped two-bowl 12' lav top is a different animal than on a freestanding 3 footer. You won't get the two 6 footers replaced for a thousand bucks, which is what I'll charge you to get this out. (No charge if you aren't satisfied.)

If it makes you feel any better, granite isn't immune from this either. I got a call from a lady whose husband had set a box containing toilet bowl cleaner on her new kitchen granite island overnight. It leaked and sucked the color right out. Bright white swirl on a black top. Looked kinda cool actually. The gloss was undisturbed. Fortunately he put it near the edge. A placemat at the bar was the only solution short of replacement.
