Very likely easier to repaint a lighter colour than to adapt for video taking (you really want to make sure you have enough light). You could instead general lighting if you do not yet have any for the room in the center of the ceiling, a photography studio umbrella may help illuminate the area(s) for your video filming or even placing white framed images or mirrors to cover a certain wall may help. At all costs, please avoid any type of dark decor such as tat tv screen for example. Light woods, white for furniture or bright colours helps alot as well.
