Hoya nummularioides is going to bloom!

This is a relatively new hoya to me. I will admit that when I first saw it, I wasn't very impressed. The leaves are sort of well...not very exciting. When I received it though I noticed it has a very stiff structure which I did really like. And hooray, it's going to give me a bloom and I see another peduncle too.

Will update when it opens more.

Still blooming, many more peduncles. I have noticed it has a very distinct scent that I am not sure I love. The scent is much stronger after dark. It literally fills the room and seeps into other rooms.

Beautiful! I just got a few cuttings of this. The leaves may not look exciting, but I love the feel of them :-)

That's exactly what I thought. They don't look like much but the plant feels almost like cardboard which is kinda cool.

This one opened today. And I see a dozen more peduncles swelling so it's going to bloom like crazy in the next few days. I've never seen this many peduncles on any of my other hoyas. Crazy!

It's an "intense" bloomer. Haha.

I had to move mine when it bloomed. I couldn't take the strong perfume smell.

Carolynnv, thank you! I am glad it isn't only me. It's a very odd scent unlike really anything I can describe. It's sort of like burnt vanilla only sickeningly sweet burnt vanilla.
