Scrape the paint around the crack and caulk it.

I don't think the window is in any way related to whatever it is that is going on with the floor--which doesn't look like it has occurred recently.

Scrape & caulk the trim like Toddinmn said.^^

Thanks - I've got a well-regarded pest control company coming scheduled to take a look, so I'll see - I don't remember that damage on the floor being there in the spring, but it's not a spot I look at much.

All good advice above. Caulk the crack for now, and the chance of that window trim having any relation to the floor issue is very remote.

Going to try scrape and caulk this weekend, but adding some new pics of the floor with what I think is more recent damage. Willing to believe it’s not tied to window, and I’ve gotten pest control and home repair lined up for both problems anyway
