Round Dining Table size

Hello, looking for some advice on the best sized round dining table to get for our eating area. I took the picture from our island which will have 5 stools around it for additional seating. The area is roughly 10’ x 7’. This will be the main eating/gathering area when we entertain which typically consists of 6-8 adults and 4-6 kids. We also have a separate dining room but don’t plan to use that on a regular basis. But it’s there for the larger, more formal gatherings. Thanks in advance!

What about oval? or rectangle? with those shapes, you can likely take advance of some of that 2' to the slider. I think 6 may be the most you can regularly seat there since you need 2' for each person and 2' behind chairs to pull out

Since our kitchen is filled with straight lines (shaker cabinets) I thought the round would be a nice break. We had a rectangular table there before that was 70”x39.5”. Here’s the table we had in that space before.

what about something like the Saarinen tulip table in oval. Will give you the soft curves but maybe more space
