Thank you Katie. My hardware is Emtek Jasper pulls. The faucet is Delta Champagne Bronze. The Emtek pulls match almost perfectly. My Ijen Blue slab has alot of bronze veins running through it. really pulls everything together.

@Lynn - keep in mind we shop stones that are standing vertically but are installed horizontally. It’s ALWAYS a crap shoot. Most of the time the lighting in your kitchen will make it “more washed out” than how it looks in the stone yard. My countertop slabs looked darker when I first found them.

Finally got my Ijen Blue installed and I absolutely love it. Photographs do not do Ijen Blue justice, often not showing as blue as they look to our eyes.

Excuse the mess, we had to plastic off the cabinets so they could cut the sink on site and it's hard to get a photo that doesn't show it reflecting off of the stone.

Still waiting for cabinet doors and facings.

We paired it with Cambria quartz in "Torquay" and you can see the future backsplash sample on that wall. The floors will also change to the samples you see (both on right hand side of the photo. None of the walls or trim are painted the new colors yet.

The goal was to make the island the star of the kitchen and it definitely worked. My husband and I keep walking into the kitchen and just staring at the island! :)

I had my Ocean Blue installed too! It's very similar to Ijen blue just a little darker. Looks awesome!

That is a stunning, stunning piece of nature! Wow. I would stand and stare at it every morning while making my coffee. I’m a big fan of beautiful countertops and this one gets first prize! Can’t wait till the whole room is done.

I have seen it, but never installed. I did see some recently here in Florida, and of all the many slabs I've seen, never those colors. Beautiful in the right situation.

I also have Taj Mahal and Ijen Blue. I have found the Ijen Blue to be more porous and not as hard a Taj Mahal. I had a stain from olive oil on the Ijen Blue but my fabricator told me to make a poultice of baking soda and water then put plastic wrap on it with tape to seal it. I left it overnight and it removed the stain.

We are very protective of our Ijen Blue counters like it is a toddler so no issues with stains but we did get a small ding on inside edge of sink from hitting it with a pot so be careful of that also. It’s supposed to be harder then granite bit I’ve chipped granite before in the same way.

I thought you all might like to see my Ijen Blue now that there are some cabinet doors, drawer facings, backsplash, and my new flooring put in. Just need a few more things facings/doors for the cabinets, and painting the walls, ceiling, trim, and regular doors. :) I wish I'd moved my cooktop before taking this photo though.

(And don't you love my painter's tape cabinet "hardware"? We were waiting to see the doors in kitchen to figure out what color hardware we wanted, and it's a good thing, as the one that looks the best the most was not what I thought we'd pick, although none of them are wrong either. :)

Of course the paint shortage is delaying the electrical, plumbing, and appliance install, but I'll be sure the show the final product too!

I have absolutely zero regrets about choosing this slab. Every time I walk into my kitchen, I stare at it and am so glad I didn't do the perimeter counter on the island as well. It would have been okay, but zero wow factor. Every person and contractor who has walked through has complimented it. Here it is in a few different lights.

Sorry this one is a little weird because we have the can lights hanging as hopefully painting happens this week! Under counter lighting and pendants aren't installed yet.

We are doing it as an island, and putting the remnant in the powder room. Ijen can have a lot of variation. It can be dark, or light. Has a lot of movement in it. All depends on what's in stock. Pairing it with stainless steel countertops on the perimeter

Jeffrey - wow! What a gorgeous stone! Please show pix when you’re done. Again, thank you all for sharing your use of this stone. I think it’s too much for my senses to have it in large swaths. But I’m very tempted.

Another option is the Ocean Blue.. It's very similar. I paired with lagoon cabinets and it's a very soft look.

@quitclaim I went off the reservation and used a leathered solid granite in a rich coffee color. I wanted the island to stand out on it's own and it just compliments it enough without drawing attention to it.

Finally got the cabinets and counters in! Love this beautiful stone! Still waiting for lighting and appliances, so not prettied up yet, but you can get the idea.

My kitchen is finally unpacked and glass is installed, appliances are in, lights are in, paint is done, so here is the finished image. New kitchen table arrives later this week. We are making sure we love these counter stools and before putting together the other two we have.

Ijen blue is the island, Torquay quartz is the perimeter.

Quartzite looks gray but beautiful

@Organic Facility Management It is much bluer to the eye than the camera seems able to capture. It comes off much greyer in photographs. I think it has to with lighting correction with the polished stone. The only times you can really see the blue in photos are with natural sunlight on it.

That stone is one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen!

absolutely drop-dead gorgeous countertops! We are going with azul macabaus, as we are keeping a yellow and cobalt backsplash, needed a more vivid blue. Hopefully our stone gets instaled within the next 2 or 3 weeks. I love all these photos!

@courtneycuff Sorry for the delay. I think I tried responding initially, but the mobile version byorks if you dare to fix any typos and then I forgot about it.

My backsplash I got through a slab yard Triton Stone and is called ISG Riad 2.5x8". It's one of the only warmer white subway tiles I could find at the time. A much cheaper, slightly cooler/whiter version was available at Tile Guy but I don't know what it was called. My only issue with it (and most tile) is when they design "imperfections" that are identical on the tiles. For some reason that backsplash had browner, darker little spots as this part of design on certain tiles. I over ordered so I could avoid using them or had them in piles for edges or behind the vent hood b/c to me, they look like a dirty spot of tomato or something and I didn't want to try to clean already clean tiles. :)

The floor tile i had to pick mid-install because we learned the previous tile had been compromised. It was very challenging finding a warmer white tile (previous tile was warmer white so cool whites made it look dingy and designed kitchen to go well with it). I used Interceramic (Brand) Duratec™ Glazed Porcelain Rectified Floor Tile - Vintage Cement (the line) Vintage White Sand (color). This also had a few patterend tiles I didn't like the patterning on and again and made sure those were in edging pieces to cut them off or put them out of use (I ordered extra as this remodel would have been very different if we hadn't had tile from previous floor (not enough to fix compromised tile, only to change island footprint).
