Staking indoor plants-Best type? Mold?

Hi!

I’m ordered a monstera and I’ve been trying to decide what type of staking to go with.

Earlier today I was leaning towards buying a handmade coconut fibre pole off Etsy.

This was after my readings of moss poles from Amazon spoke of pests and metal prongs for stakes rusting. I thought maybe just go with bamboo but then read about mold being an issue inside. I heard use a dowel rod plain or even spray paint it or wraps with jute.

Do I need to worry about mold from bamboo and can I use a dowel rod? I know in general the plant can grow huge and will need additional supports as time goes on.

That’s why I was learning toward a pole thinking I’d get longer use.

I have a ficus burgundy that needs staked too and again, dowel rod? Bamboo? One a better choice?

Thank you!
