Get your neighbors to join in your efforts. Read your governing documents and research what it will take to make these changes. Under my HOA documents, this would not be possible. You have good ideas but you will need to research the feasibility. Good luck.

Would be hard to imagine that an HOA would allow such drastic changes to what sounds like a very uniform development. As areyano_cs suggested get your neighbors involved if they are amenable to changes. Good luck!

I could live with it as long as I didn't have to keep up the hedges, lawns and fences or take care of broken things that are the HOA's responsibility. I would focus where you know changes are allowed, and on your own property. Plants, outdoor furniture, whatever the law allows you to do to your own environment to make it pleasing.

Deco you are right, and I do enjoy the inside and patio, its very nice living here, just wish the outside wasnt so ugly.
