I've had several pool contractors tell me the standard plaster resurface thickness is 1/2" with the exception of one who says he applies 1" for longer durability and easier touch up if necessary. 1" sounds better than 1/2" but I had one contractor tell me that's not good to do but didn't say why. Any thoughts? Thanks
