Another place to look might be BelTile. Prices and suitability for different applications vary, but they have a big selection, including Tunisian tiles, which might be another option to look at.

You'll need to look away from the big box stores if you want specialty tile that looks really good.

Tilebar has a lot of those tiles, but some seem to be a little better quality than HD. (and some tiles are used by both places)

I did a bath remodel for my neighbor and they wanted to use the Bella tiles on the back wall. I used the 3x12 subways in a stacked pattern on the other walls

I love the Bella Tate in the soft pinks and golds. w/rose gold hardware, a soft wood vanity,

and this gorgeous pink tile done in a herringbone, (below some other floor tiles) I think it would look stunning.

Not into pink? then do the same thing in any of the other 20 diff colors!

if you want authentic, look at Zellige tiles or try CleTile. they were used here on this shower tile

Or, Fireclay tile has the moroccan look down pat. this is Justina Blakeneys bathroom

this is my own shower. I used black/white cement tiles for my 'plant wall', and black marble for the shower floor

this is a similar style done w/a smaller shower.

You will get a ton more choices of colors and pattern if you go w/encaustic tiles.

Well that was fun now you still have no help with all those choices. I need to see your bedroom since IMO a master bath needs to be the same style as the MBR and also color wise they are best connected. If you want simple then IMO all those tiles shown are anything but.

Thanks so much everyone! Part of my difficulty is that I'm never quite certain which online outlets are good quality. Several of the contractors I spoke with along the way discouraged HD or other big box options and I've seen comments on these forums that suggest Floor & Decor was also not a reliable source for high-quality materials.

I think that part of my problem is the fact that I want porcelain - it seems like most of the nicer designs are ceramic or cement or something else. I know that these can be made to work in a shower, but I'm trying to minimize the places where things can go wrong down the line. But thanks to all your great suggestions I've ordered a big pile of samples from Tile Bar!

@Beth H. : I love your bathroom! After I saw you post that photo on another thread, I had our architect add a skylight to our upstairs hall bathroom.

I really like your Stone Impressions selection. It would be a great option for the floor and then I would pick up that soft green color in a ceramic tile for the shower surround. Use the same patterned floor tile for the interior of the shower niches.

Caution: if these tiles are cement, they will require sealing on a fairly regular basis. If at all possible, find porcelain tile that looks like your Stone Impressions tile. Much more practical and a lot less maintenance.

Thanks @Sabrina Alfin Interiors - the Stone Impressions tiles can be crafted on marble or travertine. My photo is the latter. The design is a little brighter on the marble, but I've been scared off of marble in the shower from a few sad stories here.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - The bedroom doesn't exist yet! This is an addition in progress. Our existing bedroom was painted a seafoam color and I've always had some version of green-blue paisley bedding. Here's the floor plan - the shower will be visible through the door which is why I'd like to find something showy there.

This place has lots of Moroccan designs - and you can choose the colors. However, they are ceramic and do absorb a lot of moisture - we’ve had trouble with the floor of our shower. They do work nicely for a strip near the top of the shower - we have a strip there with no problems.
