You've done a great job picking tile!

I like the first two choices shown next to each other, and I like the third choice which is the tan arabesque.

I don't care for the dark tiles at all.

I also don't think you need to tile all over everywhere the way people do these days.

You really only need to tile the rectangular area below the window, and the area behind the range top, and you can go up to the hood.

I prefer the tiles from the first two photos, and of those two I’d pick the one on the right and try to match the grout with the little grey squares

Any and all of those will be very busy. They are too small in scale/pattern against the counter top.

I agree with Jan. Because of the busyness of the countertop, go with a simple backsplash.
Another option would be an oversized subway tile which could be laid in a pattern that you liked.

Very nice kitchen. Another vote here for a subtle backsplash. Let your granite be your statement piece. You don't want your backsplash and counter to compete with each other.

Found the tile Jan suggested. I like that. Thank's for the insight. Any other suggestions? Want to present my husband with two I think. I could not find the tile that Irene M. pictured. Is it possible it is another company's tile? Was not at Statement Tile. I am really lost. The tiles I chose are too small? Need something larger and all white? Should I just go back to subway tile?

I have an oversized white subway tile in the guest bathroom with a white herringbone tile floor. Would that be too much white subway tile around?

The 2nd pic is my picture I took of the sample at my tile place. These are beautiful glass tiles. The white one is Satin iridescent. They make a matte, Satin, and a iridescent finish. The taupe colored one I believe is Sandbar.

you could do these in a stacked pattern, a vertical offset, a herringbone, or even a double herringbone.

They also have a 4" hex, which I think would be the perfect size for your backsplash. the subway tiles I've shown are about 2X8 or so.

don't like iridescent? here's the satin finish. the other one is very matte looking.

for example, this is Shadow. (also a very nice color) in a iridescence and a matte. take a look at the color examples . I really like this darker glass one. would be striking in your kitchen

They also have the beveled glass tile in the Intro or the Outro shape

or, look at doing some scalloped tiles. Seneca or Mercury mosaics has these in a ll diff colors

a white with a darker gray would also look nice

IMHO Irene's picture is a good example of selecting the lightest color in the countertop. Let your patterned countertop be the star of the kitchen with the subtle backsplash. There are many shades of white ranging from a pure, bright white to a creamy white, so you need to test the white to countertop. Regardless of the color of tile you finally decide to test, hold the tile vertically to your horizontal countertop. You want to view it in the direction in which it will be installed.

Below is a picture of the elongated subway tile in a kitchen. Since herringbone in your bathroom is different and the 2 tiles would not be viewed at the same time, I don't think it would be a problem. Herringbone is a classic look. I would stay away from the pencil thin tile which tends to be a more trendy tile. Since tile is a "permanent" part of the kitchen (that is not easily changed), you want something that doesn't go out of style quickly or is so busy that you tire of it.

Hang in there with your decisions and don't let it overwhelm you. You are going to have a great kitchen.

I would NOT do a dark tile for the backsplash. I like Jan's choice and also Irene's.
