You need table tops to reach the mattress top. Consider shopping 2nd hand for tables in the same style; sort of Victorian parlor tables that could be tall enough to suit. I've seen some with splayed barley twist legs and a shelf underneath that would look great with it, refinished or not. They don't have to be exact matches, just the right height.

I might consider going with a black 3 drawer dressers instead of a traditional side table. the bed is big so needs big side tables to be in scale. dressers can serve double duty and possibly eliminate need for a large dresser?
