Chicago Peace did well at Cantigny rose Park here. It's quite thorny and was among the few blooming at 90 F in hot & dry. The bed of Chicago Peace was always there for the last decades, but I don't see the yellow Peace (less hardy) for my zone 5.

Chicago Peace is a favorite in my SoCal garden (9a). The size of the flower, the fragrance, the ever-changing colors — and they last several days in a vase.

Wow! Amazing photos! I am thrilled to finally read of someone else’s experience with this rose. I’ve found that mine looks different with every new bloom. I recently got it and I am finally settled knowing that someone else also got a pink peace looking bloom initially Bc I did too. It made me question if the rose was incorrectly tagged. Each rose is different but this is what it’s like now. Seems to be getting more like what it’s supposed to be. This one literally just opened, not even fully, but was broken off by my dogs accidentally. Any thoughts on if this looks more like CP now?

Yes! It looks a lot more like it now. And you know, I checked on hmf...and there are a lot of dark Chicago Peace blooms...I guess that mine were always light colored because it's cooler here. Interesting!

So glad! I meant to update you on this new finding of mine too! For some reason, when I initially searched, I found only light ones and after some time of me digging around online, now, whenever I click CP, only ones that look like mine come up. That is so bizarre but that’s how algorithms online work I guess? Either way, I’m glad to finally know what it is :)

I don't mean to rain on any parade, but I've been waiting and contemplating as well as looking at multiple pictures of Chicago Peace online and in my books, and I will offer my disagreeing statement as to it being Chicago Peace.
I'd like to see additional blooms as the plant matures and photographs of the plant's foliage and habit.
The colours of that bloom do look like that of Chicago Peace, but the bloom looks too stiff, more modern, and more lightly petalled.
Mine was a first year plant and it produced "soft" looking fluffy blooms that are what I've always encountered with Peace and its tribe.
I would suggest a new thread in the appropriate forum with these photos and more plus details on your plant as well. Best wishes!

'Chicago Peace'... SOMEBODY doesn't forget where she's from! (*She because 'Peace' is really named for Maman Madame A. Meilland, so hence)

I would say absolutely NOT to this being Chicago Peace seeing it these last few days versus the brilliant and flashy blooms of only weeks prior. I love the mutability of sports and the colours of roses in general in response to temperature, light, soil, and so many other variables.

One bud is still all done up in its Windy City attire!
