This is the old 26 year old carpet. I was only planning to do the dining and living room, but I went ahead and did the hallway too. I like carpet in my bedrooms so I will put new in there, next year. Of course the trim has to be painted, as I did when I redid my kitchen/dining room...I got so tired of the orangey brown pine trim everywhere - it will be good to get it gone!

I turned it down the hall - it was my preference to run it like this.

I removed the chair rail in the living room after several helpful posters suggested it - I swear that never would have occurred to me - I was gonna paint it with everything else! I much prefer it now, with it gone. (Thank you Houzz posters. :-) ) I have already gotten the door frames primed and partially painted - it's a big job. But I'll get there. I love the floor though - it was exactly what I had pictured in my mind.
