I like it. The starburst is dramatic.

I have to say, log homes are not to everyone's taste, but if they want one, they do want it to reflect the log/natural wood tones. I fear I would not have advised a paint job in this case (though log homes are not my cup of tea, normally.) A wood stain or at the MOST a whitewash would have been in keeping with the character of the home. I might have advised updating elements like the floor (can see a slate flagstone or some kind of textural tile) and vanity rather than painting. At least the tub is still intact albeit out of step with the feel of the room.

I know this is a faux pas in the Before and After to critique, and I don't mean to be unkind, but not every home will look right dressed up like the Property Brothers. Its just like changing a hair color dramatically...not all of us look great in a super short platinum blonde cut. Sometimes you do have to lean in to what the house actually is when you update, or its jarring. I hope you love it, and after all, that is all that matters!

I totally see where you're coming from....however we stripped,sanded and stained the log wall a lighter color but it looked bad as the logs hadn't been protected from moisture and wear from previous owners. Tried to match the logs in rest of house(we do not have much log walls in the house as not vaulted ceilings and fair amount of sheetrock and paint) but was not working. So went dark...it is not painted but a dark walnut stsin.

That looks nice, I like it! The lights around the tub are so cool. I think you did a great job of keeping the original rustic charm, with making some fresh updates. It looks really cozy and has a kind of spa-like feel.

Looks very nice, I like the lights and how the bathtub is presented. I will probably add some shades in the windows for more privacy. But it has an amazing look.

It's actually not painted...it is drk walnut stain and it looks very rich.
