I agree with Terminalia catappa, Indian Almond. I have a big one (about 25 metres tall) and lots of seedlings. Animals like the fruit, especially parrots, and the seeds get spread widely. The fruit turns a dark purplish colour and apparently is used to make a dye.

I agree it's sea almond after looking it up. strange that I do not have one near me at all (that I know of unless it's in some neighbor's back yard). It came from a bird then may be.
