Absent drainage, would not use it as a planter. Might drill a drainage hole just above ground level.

If you have an old fashioned antenna that works for providing you free digital stations, you could stand your antenna up in it.

It could hold a large patio sized umbrella.

Or you could build a wood frame from a center post and create your own back yard shelter.
