Well I’ve tried both, don’t think there’s much I haven’t tried. Surf made the clothes a little stiff... one of the detergents loaded with per carbonates and fillers, as MaMaP would say if she were here. But it was a decent performer. As I remember Fab was also a pretty decent detergent. If I had to pick one now to use it would probably be Fab. Both have a nice smell to them.

I tried a box of Fab a couple of years ago and it was next to worthless.

Just looked at the ingredients--Fab doesn't have any enzymes; Surf does have enzymes.

Hey I really appreciate your comments guys. I never used the Powdered Surf, but I remember they used to have several variations of the Liquid a couple of decades ago.

I haven’t tried either for years but I imagine like every other product out there these too have changed.

Yeah that's a really good point. I often forget how manufacturers often make changes to the formulas of their products over time.
