I like to find the LIGHTEST brick colour in the wall and work to find a floor that is in that colour family. Since you will be doing this in a dark space with very little natural light, the lighter the colour the better.

I'm assuming you already have the brick purchased? If you have NOT done this, you can go ahead and purchase the brick. You will spend a few hours searching through the pile of brick to find one of the lightest bricks. You will then take that brick shopping. You will also take a swatch of paint (that you *think you would like to work with) and a cabinet piece (bit of trim or a door panel or drawer face). You can take a photo of the light fixture with you as well.

Now you walk in the flooring showroom with ALL of your samples (a wicker basket is SUPER handy for this) and start looking. The flooring sales person should be able to help narrow down your search by colour. Then quality and budget get added into the equation after the colours have been picked off the displays.

You take home ALL of the samples and then put them down in the room (with a bunch of the brick stacked for effect) and then have a look at which one looks the best in your setting.
