The Quartz composite top is not secured and shifts sometimes. Anyone have any thoughts on how best to keep it from shifting?? Room and Board does not offer any ideas.

I have ordered the same table (different base color), and I plan to use a rubber contact grip, like what is used in cabinet drawers, between the top and the base.

Glass tops often sit on table bases without being secured, and so I do not know why people are concerned about the top falling off if someone leans on it. If the top is heavy enough, it will not fall off. It should be as heavy as glass, and I would treat it the same way.

Sounds and looks unsafe. I would return it.

What if someone tried to sit on the edge of the table. Or a child tried to crawl onto the table...

Love the table. I would not return although I do think it should obviously be fastened together. Not sure how though... gorilla glue? Nails? No clue

Silicone caulking is used the fasten down countertops and vanity tops. Can you lift off the top, run a bead of silicone around the edge of the black circle base, then replace the top

Silicone isn't going to stop that from falling off if someone leans on it. I would return it or ask the company what there thoughts were to secure it? That needs some mechanical fasteners of some sort.

I received my table last week, and I had cut an 18" diameter circle from this shelf liner from Amazon. Since the shelf liner is 12" wide, I taped pieces together to get the 18". I did notice when the table was delivered that the top is 26" diameter, and so I could have made a 24" diameter circle, but the 18" circle works perfectly. The does not slide or shift, and it also does not tilt when I lean on it or press down heavy on the edge.

The quartz is a heavy as glass (which is very heavy) and is therefore very stable, considering the diameter of the top of the base. There is nothing unsafe about it that I can see. Also, the shelf liner has an extremely strong grip.
