Added the rug

Lovely windows! Is there a reason the curtains are not hanging more towards the ends of the rod? You might need to relocate the pictures on each side. Do you have a picture of the previous layout? I'm interested to see the windows unblocked.

I would move the pictures and get drapes to hang like Lala said. Also would get a rug with some more color in it so it does not blend into the floor. Textures great but they have sisal with two or three different tones. The mirror to me looks more glam then the rest of your furniture. If I had to keep it unwound put a long narrow table underneath with some accessories. Maybe the bench can go on the other side of the cofee table

I’m considering taking the drapes down all together. Thoughts ?

The curtains look nice and airy, although I'd probably hem them to floor length.

I think drapes add a softness. I would mount them so they are not covering so much of the window and a little more of the wall I would also hem. If you want to get rid of them see what it looks like. It will be a cleaner look. Your room is pretty

Either take the drapes down or add more drapes. Right now there is too much rod for the amount of drapery.
I find the large mirror overwhelming. Taking it down might involve some patching and painting but I still think it would be worthwhile. Good luck!

The mirror is the albatross in what is a very lovely room. Sorry! Your layout is great, I’d move the drapes out so they don’t block the window and maybe use those 2 pictures as a beginning of a collage of pictures on your big wall.

If you move the drapes outward of the dining room window also you can use that picture from the dining room window wall for your collage as well!
