yellow roses are my favorite, i shy away from most pink, but i'd still pick option 1

Option 2 for me. The yellow pops and, as much as I like pink roses, yellow isn't as overused as pink. Diane

Pink is synonymous with roses - the color until 200 years ago was called "rose". I like the foxgloves, too. Since "English" roses--the David Austin kind-- were supposed to be similar to but healthier and more everblooming than old roses. It's more correct. But yellow could be a more "selling" color by virtue of its comparative rarity among the roses to this day.

I tend to prefer 2, because I like the contrast of the dark green leaves with the bright yellow. I also agree with Monarda that, because yellow is less used in this context, it is more striking.

The right cover is very important for a book. When I published my North Dakota book on Amazon, I was fortunate enough to find the perfect cover, and the lady who made the quilt was gracious enough to permit its use. There would have been a second edition this year, with the same cover, except… Covid. Next year, I hope.

I prefer #2 because I love yellow roses. #1 is lovely too, but it bothers me that there's that one flower behind the word "roses" that washes out the word a bit. I think a heavier font would be beneficial in either case. Good luck Darren!

#2 the color pops and it catches my eye on the bookshelves.

I like #2 best. #1 has flowers other than roses and your book is about roses. #2 has the roses as the center of it's content.

I love the pop of yellow, plus the amount of roses on the cover.

Option #1. I love yellow roses but a lot of people don't so much. Or save it for the second book!

Hmm; I'm leaning to option 1.
It grabs me better and I like the positioning and pink is THE rose!

*I also like Option 1 because with the companion plants, it demonstrates that roses do not need to be grown isolated, monoculture environment and have great versatility in the landscape.

Option 1, lovely photo with beautiful pink roses, plants and green foliage.

Chris has a point with the flower and the word overlapping. I would consider fixing that if you go with #1. The conflict caught my eye right away so it might do same for others. I would Google Rose Books and see if one color floods the market. If so I would select the opposite or search for a option #3.
