Entryway runner length

I am trying to find a runner for my entryway. I measured incorrectly and ended up with this runner (see photo) that is 12ft long. Ideally, I would need a 14ft to reach the main living area / end of entryway.

This rug doesn’t come in 14ft and I’m trying to decide if I should keep it or send it back.

Keep it
Send it back for 14ft

Why not use two runners? I might also be fun to add one with a pattern and/or more color.

I don’t think two feet would help anything. Either keep that one or add a full nother one. I like this one a lot. Also fasten it down to the floor is the type to be slippery...

Try moving it down a foot or two.

You know what would look great! The same rug in a welcome mat. Put that right by the door and the long one after that. ( little tiny space between ) do they have that?

I have a 12 ft runner down the hall but because two were too long I did a matching three by four door mat. You could do a t formation. I can not because of my radiator so mine is more of an L formation.

Thank you! I’ll check for a smaller mat to put by the door and move this one down.

I also think a door mat would look good, but I would recommend a darker door mat. A white door mat is going to get stained or dirty very quickly.

I like the idea of a smaller, perhaps a more substantial rug, next to the front door. You could even go with a seasonal theme. Something with a fall leaf pattern for the fall, something Christmas-ey for December, something with snowflakes for the winter, etc. Would add a bit of colour to your front hall.

For everyone mentioning color, my LR starts where I’m standing for the picture and has a colorful blue vintage looking rug. that’s why I went with a more plain entryway rug, but should i do color in here too? Didnt want it to clash.

This is how much space is left when I pull the runner all the way to the living room opening.

To they have a two by three door mat that matches your rug? It looks like that would fit.
