Kitchen help needed

Hello! I will be embarking on an addition which will include a new kitchen in the new year. I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row (and also just very excited). I have been hyperfocused on the cabinets and trying to nail down the design and manufacturer I want to go with. I have so far gotten a quote for JSI cabinets for around 11k and reached out to two local cabinet makers that both told me my project would range between 20-25k. Given my overall construction costs I'm not looking to spend more than 12k for cabinets. But I also want cabinets that will be durable and not be needing replacement in a few years. After looking and looking and looking I landed on Barker and Conestoga cabinets. Both seems like good quality. I have also been playing around with free software to do different design layout and came to the photo attached that I feel pretty happy with. I have priced this out for Barker at around 10k unfinished (additional $2700 painted). I'm awaiting a quote from Cabinet Joint for Conestoga. So here are my questions to you all:

- Barker or Conestoga?

- Have them paint? Or paint on site? Is the quality better if you just go with the manufacturer? How do you find someone to paint onsite?

I do also realize these are both RTA and my GC will need to construct these which will add expense if it's not already accounted for in our overall budget. However, I'm also open to assembling them myself (I'm actually good at assembling furniture and enjoy it!).
