bistro lights - low voltage?

My multi-unit building is redoing the backyard and installing bistro lights. We have an electrician coming to set up a low voltage irrigation drip. Should we have him also install low voltage bistro lights or an exterior plug for high voltage bistro lights? pros and cons of each?

low voltage can get wet, low voltage will not shock one of your tenants if for some reason a wire gets exposed, low voltage is what should be used outdoors especially in a multi-use building for safety reasons alone.
