I’d do more of a gallery wall above the sofa with one beautiful mirror and accent art. Treat the area above your sofa like a fireplace mantle...it needs staggering heights of visual interest since it’s the first thing seen in the room. And add drapes (mounted to the full height of the ceiling) to add soft elegance to the room.

Go for a large, colorful piece of art over the sofa.

Note, too, the above rooms have more colorful accents. You've got a lot of brown and gray in there; perhaps punch it up with some bright orange pillows. Or, pick up pillow colors from the artwork you eventually select.

I agree with Sabrina. Don’t do a gallery wall. Stick to one piece of art above the couch. I also like the pink you brought in. I do think there’s a lot going on and the couches should not be against the wall. Maybe try pulling the couches in. Remove the chair right when you come in the room. Remove the lamps and ottoman. See how it feels. Post a picture. It will be empty and will for sure need a coffee table possibly some poufs, more pillows and throws. Some flowers and candles... but I think after you remove some of the stuff it will be easier to bring the space back together. I also do love the mirrors they’re rlly rlly pretty. We can possibly

My first thought, as well, was that the seating was all too far apart to comfortably socialize.

Can the couches face each other? And the lamps move up a bit, so that people sitting on the sofas can reach up and turn them on? :-D That's what I'd try to do first, if it was me. <3

I think a large mirror or large artwork can work behind the sofa. The main change I would make is removing the gray ottoman. It's too tall for the sofa, and too small in size to work as a coffee table between the two sofas. I would look for a rectangular, glass and metal coffee table to place in front of the sofa at the window. It will help connect the sofas and be functional without interfering with the flow of the room. It's a nice space.
