My first thought is that it's overwatered and the plant is suffering from root rot.

You say you water it every day. Do you check the soil before you water, or you just do it automatically? You need to let your cypress dry out slightly before you water again. It needs to be dry a few inches down -- check by hand or get a moisture meter. Also, reduce watering in cold weather, so the roots don't sit in cold wet soil too long.

I check soil before watering. I water it when top surface is dry.

I removed the dried stems from bottom and observed that there are some tiny little white bugs looking like mealybugs or termites or aphids (not sure which one) crawling on trunk of the plant. I sprayed diluted insecticide (Chlorpyrifos 20EC) over leaves, stems and trunk. Will this be helpful ? Will this prevent plant from drying?

Pretty sure it’s being overwatered. Where are you located geographically? This isn’t a good choice if you’re somewhere hot and humid.

Thought, when I bought plant it was lush green. At home, it started getting drying. I have found some tiny white bugs on stems. May be that is the reason for drying out. I have applied insecticide now.

Why is it leaning? Was it pulled out of a smaller pot and stuffed into this one, perhaps breaking roots in the process?

Otherwise does the container it is in now have holes in the bottom, for water to drain through?
