I am staining office bookshelves and I accidentally used exterior Cabot stain. The label says it’s for exterior decks and furniture, but I was in a rush and only paid attention to the furniture part.

I’ve read that exterior stain shouldn’t be used for anything interior because it’s toxic. The stain is VOC compliant, does that help anything? I have no idea what all of this means!

So what do I need to do to fix this? Please tell me I haven’t ruined the shelves!
