You can go to youtube and search "fertilizing orchids." Plenty of videos to watch. If you want flowers, you need to provide your plant with food to make them.

An East window is the best.

This is how I’ve grown my 10 year old phal which blooms reliably...ymmv. The media is all pine bark in 1/2 to 1/4 inch chunks. When I water (about once a week) I soak the whole pot in a bucket of saved rain water for 15 minutes then drain. Once a month it gets 1/2 to 1/4 strength fertilizer. It spends the summer on a screen porch with NO direct sun. It stays outside until night temps dip to the low 40sF. The cool nights followed by the warmth inside helps trigger flowering. Inside it is placed next to an east window but again no direct sun.
