Arrgh! Need help deciding on color for LR drapes!
We are slowly but surely furnishing our vacation home on the Florida Gulf Coast. Now we're ready to pick living/dining area window treatments. Venetian blinds are already there, so we're planning on drapes, both for ease of selection and installation and to cut down on echoes from the tile floor and open floor plan. The room faces north on the big window and east on the side windows, so blackout drapes aren't needed. Walls are SW Panda White and the two side chairs will be replaced in the future, as well as maybe the lamps, or at least the one on the left. Mainly we need drapes for privacy (so we don't have to mess with the venetian blinds all the time) and to finish off the windows, style-wise. The dilemma is, what color? We had thought blue, but when we brought home several possibilities in different blue shades, I thought it seemed like too much blue altogether, while my husband liked a medium indigo shade. So if not blue, what?? Also, should the dining room window have the same drapes, or could we do something different there? Thanks for your insights!

5 years agoI would do a light drapery. That way you can change out your accessory colors.

5 years agoHow many windows? anyway, with this much pattern, a rug could be solid, possibly plain jute, or one with color. Has pale sage background I think.

create a beautiful light diffusion. 60% Polyester / 30% Linen / 10% Cotton. Weighted Hem. Dry Clean Only. As a general rule, for proper fullness panels should measure 2-3 times the width of your window/opening.
