Too big and too high

I have no opinion on if the light is too big or too high. But I like the light itself. And yes, put large artwork on the wall. Anything that makes you catch your breath, makes your heart go pitter patter.

Too big and too high. Lower it enough that the tallest person in your home won't bang their head on it. A rug would need to be 6' wider and longer than your table yet not run into baseboards, so I don't think you have room. Large art, and soften all the rectangles with drapes.

Love the chandelier. Lower it about 3". I never had a DR without a rug and spills have never been an issue. (yes I have children and entertained a lot). Right now your are in beige heaven. Pick a color you love (maybe teal or rust or cadet blue) for an accent and look for art with that color. Then window treatments and rug
