IMO all stairs can be slick wood for sure so I am thinking the company you are dealing with does not have the stair nosing you would need , so ask about that.

What material are the stairs now?

we scrape the pad off the back and glue the plank to the step. cortech is a great product but it can still scratch. try to get a color that will hide scratches.

The stairs are carpeted now, but stained wood underneath. We plan to remove the carpeting and have considered painting the stairs and the trim (to be consistent with the basement room we are installing Coretec in) and using a carpet runner on them.

cortech has all of the stair noses and trims available for all colors. We like to use metal. Look up metal stair nose on steps... they are less expensive and they never come off. try to match them to the chandelier and Hardware door handles Etc
