Kitchen remodel

have a large kitchen and I am sorry but I have never liked stainless steel appliances, I like black and my floors recently done are a beautiful Italian 20X20 tile's in a golden hue. We are upgrading the kitchen also for re-sale value as we will probably move in 4 to 5 years? Should I consider what others may like so the house sells better or get what I love and enjoy it until we move on?
