My husband gave me a lovely bouquet of roses 'just because' a few weeks ago and when they were done in the vase I stuck them into a pot of garden soil that I happened to have on hand. The flowers dried on the stalks without dropping their petals, so I thought they looked pretty still and left them on. Several stems shriveled and died so I was pulling them up to throw them away but five stayed green and full and formed callouses on the end in preparation for rooting, so I replanted them. I'm wondering if I should take the dried flowers off the top or leave them be?
