Are you seeking privacy, light control or just softness at the windows? I rather like them as they are. Why not live with that for a few weeks and see if you can adjust to it?

Hi. decoenthusiaste. Just softening (and maybe some additional color/texture/style??) We have blinds. We have been here 30+ years and always had curtains. Never thought of not having them.

I kind of agree live without them for a bit and show the blinds . I actually dislike blinds since they cut the view. If heat and UV control is the issue use soar shades you control both but you get to keep the view and then I mix those with drapes if privacy at night is an issue. They also give daytime privacy BTW. In the DR I would do drapes and no blinds especially those that I see there.See how much better the space looks in the daylight ? I would change all the lighting to LEDs 4000K (daylight) before choosing anything else and I mean in every fixture.

I would do natural linen panels for the living room, trim them with a green tape that matches the kitchen green. No window treatments on the sliders, or over the sink.
