imo ... you will never grow enough roots to succeed with cuttings of that size ... especially long term.. in water ...

watch a few of these vids ... and take note of the size they are using ... and how to do it in media... rather than water ...

and then take at least one of the huge cuttings and cut it up and do it ... this plant should be pretty easy to succeed with.. if you do it the right way ...

You can propagate in water but you need to cut it at a swollen node and that’s what goes in the water. Don’t believe it works from just anywhere on the stem. They are quite large stems though. Look up Planterina. She has a business but on YouTube she has a ton of videos. Look at the monstera ones.

You’re right water isn’t working so I have moved it back to its pot and used a combo of soil and perlite which should hopefully encourage some root growth. I think it’s looking much better so fingers crossed!

How is the monstera? did it ever grow new roots just from soil? i have a mid cut it was water propagated but then planted in soil in summer and just realized its lost all of its roots just as it was putting 2 new shoots out.. i planted in soil again standing straight up and hoping its grows
