30 in induction range: Wolf, Bertazzoni, f&p, or cafe

Classic dilemma, but nothing recent in the threads.

im agonizing over having a statement range (DH, who cooks, wants the focus there). Deciding between wolf 30 induction, fisher paykel professional 30 induction, bertazzoni pro 30 induction, and Cafe double oven 30 induction. Flirted with KA, Viking, and Ilve but not seeing alllll the things we want (best convection possible, solid looks, boosts).

anyone have any RECENT purchases or experiences ?

I am going to just mention that has your DH cooked on induction? I am a chef and I still prefer gas but I do have a poratble induction burner for sauces. I had 3 clients who insisted on induction and they are all back to gas. As for the brand that is best I have no real experience with any of them. The 3 clients I mentioned all had different ones. If at all poosible the best is to see them in action in a good appliance store they should have a good selection. I will say I never like double oven ranges the ovens are just too small. I would look for a good sized single oven and if you need two then get a wall oven. Go online and see what the true reviews are on the ones you are trying to compare. There are so many things each of us wants from an appliance it is hard I think to reccomend one to another person, I even try not to with my clients.

Thanks @Patricia Colwell Consulting! DH has used induction, and our new home isn’t set for gas :(

ive looked in person, and I wish these did have more reviews (hence the post!)

your advice on a single cavity makes sense — appreciate it!

Since you have already considered Viking and Wolf, is there a reason that you haven’t mentioned Miele? That is what we went with, after trying out all our options. We liked the Viking induction cooktop, but the oven fan was very loud and we didn’t like the temperature control - I do a lot of baking. We actually returned the Viking range. Fisher Paykel was another serious contender but, unfortunately, we weren’t able to see one working. The stores were getting positive feedback from people who did buy them.

@akrogirl32 thanks for the input! Miele is amazing, and about $1000 over budget. It also has the steam which is interesting, but an expensive line for us to add due to some larger plumbing work.

I just revisited the JennAir and KitchenAid induction and think I may be sold! Out of left field but we get corporate pricing and it matches our specs. Any thoughts anyone?

If you are used to a pyrolitic self clean oven make sure whichever Whirlpool, Jennair or KitchenAid, Maytag stove you are considering does Not have the Aqua Lift system-it simply does not work, see the thread complaining about it here on Houzz.

know the thread is old, but may i ask what you ended up with? we’re making the same decision now: between 30” fisher paykel pro, cafe double, and viking 5 induction and im having trouble worrying about reliability and build solidity.

Would love an update if you are still around OP! I am wanting a white, counter depth, induction range and am waffling between the Bartazzoni and the Fisher and Paykel. Would love to hear what you think about the F&P.

    Hi A T!

im afraid i can’t give firsthand knowledge — we went kitchenaid!

that said, i would choose based on price and availability between those two. i have friends and colleagues with both and have been impressed.

how do you like the kitchenaid? Considering their 30" induction range and debating going higher end.
