No, I wouldn't. It will not create an accent, but will make the space look choppy and disjointed. Much better to leave it all the same color as it is.

Sounds like you need a change. Consider changing your paint color on all the walls or changing up your accessories, to bring in color.

Maybe new patterned rug on the staircase. That alone would add a lot of style to your home.

I would not do an accent wall as it will look choppy, instead invest in a nice round accent table and table decor such as a tall vase with tall greens and a cute bowl for keys etc as well as a nice runner or area rug to tie things in.
