I don't know why people think like this: Someone is going to push the someone to choose the brand they carry because they make more money on a different brand.

Brands comparatively speaking... if you are comparing apples to apples. The cost difference is negligible. Even if you are a dealer buying 100's of units at time the price might be $100 cheaper depending on how much crap you are buying (at once).

Maybe it goes $200 if you're moving 250K a month in equipment. But then you only have one brand to pick from. No choice in that.

So you going to worry about $200? This is the way the business works. If the only reason you are going to buy something is because how much it costs, how much profit someone may or may not make... it's foolish thinking.

Why?: If your installer is not profitable, don't make profit. Who is going to fix it when it breaks? You think your installer is going to remain in business by not churning a profit off you? Others? Preposterously foolish. How do you expect them to remain in business? How? Osmosis?

You make a living right? Do you not make a profit? Why then do you not want someone else to?

Buy a system for what it does. The amenities, features & someone who will service it when it breaks. Forget all this other quibble. You use a company because they are professional, offer good or better service. The rest is just nonsense. (noise)

Noise: make sure the unit you are buying has inverter compressor. They run quiet 90% or more of the time they run. (You may hear it when fully ramped, it's an air conditioner it will make 'some' noise when it runs.

Cheaper units have non inverter compressor. Noisier.

Noise: it's subjective. How loud is LOUD?
