Although there are numerous tiny housers who have traveled extensively with their houses, it is important to consider how frequently you plan to move it around. Tiny houses such as ours are heavy and are not necessarily intended to be moved constantly (8,000 - 10,000 lbs). Cost and time are also worth noting. We built ours in 2011 for around $20,000...with the increased price in materials (especially in 2020), I would guess a similar build would be at least $30,000.

Other important questions include:

• Are you considering it merely as a travel trailer, or a permanent living situation?
• What climate will it be used in?
• Is van-life a better option?
