Can granite discoloration be fixed?

Our new vanity just arrived and it includes a roughly quarter-sized discoloration in the black granite top. The discoloration is just big enough to be an annoyance and has me
considering returning the vanity if it can’t be fixed. I’ve included the best picture my phone would allow of the mark below. What do you think? Can this be fixed?
