Below is a diagram of the property and proposed location of the rain garden.

I have not done the soil percolation test yet (it is winter), but the calculation shown is based on 20% of the area of the roof that is being drained to the rain garden.

Looks nice. I assume you'll plant it with water-loving natives :-) Are you talking to your neighbors about it? Not that it looks to impact them, but maybe they are curious or also interested in gardening. Does rain naturally collect in that area -- do you anticipate ever having water standing in it?

Pictures as you go along would be nice!
