Guest Bathroom UPDATE!

Looking to do some updates to our North Carolina guest bathroom! Yay! I'm looking for a transitional style with a hint of glam and southern charm (think wrap around porch and haint blue porch ceiling). Our home has very traditional bones with a large porch, white columns, chair railing throughout - the works.

I'm no design whiz especially when it comes to more permanent finishes like tile floor and counters. Please help! Looking for ideas for a cohesive design with new wall paint, vanity paint, countertops, tile floors, lighting, cabinet/sink hardward and mirror.

Uploading pics of our current setup - layout will stay the same. Can't wait for everyones feedback!

I'm a big fan of architectural detail. It elevates a space. Like wall detail, and nice flooring such as faux marble or something. Something lovely for light fixtures. It's those details that count. custom shower curtain would look lovely. Btw, where in NC? I'm in Winston Salem!

Loveeee the sound of that. I would do a blue cabinet and new countertops. New hardware. And patterned tile. Do you have any inspiration pics? Do you like any of these ¥¥

@HU-187528210 Love love that blue for the vanity! I like the idea of a patterned tile too, but what would work best with the medium brown wood that throughout the rest of the house? I also love the idea of the wall panels/wainscotting, but not sure how to execute that with the walls in there.

Inspo pics here! Kind of all over the place haha looking primarily at these colors, patterns and hardware in some capacity.

@Patricia Justice Designs, LLC I'm in the Wake County area! Shower curtains have been the toughest thing for me to find! Hoping a bathroom redesign makes it easier!

@jojo you have great taste!! Brown wood goes great with any pattern tile really. Black and white probably safest option. I’m also obsessed with wall paneling. Put it on all the walls. Even though there’s not a lot of space. Bury the big wall for sure. Also love wallpaper if you want to do wainscoting halfway up...

I am in the process of removing a lot of wallpaper. I swore I’d never put any up again after how difficult it was to remove from my dow stairs half bath (builder didn’t even paint drywall much less size it prior to hanging!). HOWEVER - I really like the second wallpaper you have in above photos - so now you have me thinking about putting board and batten or something halfway and then wallpaper above it. Thanks!
